# 🏅 What Are Based Points (BP)?

**Based Points (BP)** are the **official utility points** of the KEK ecosystem, acting as a flexible, non-tradable rewards system that powers some of the most important features within KEK.

BP is designed to **reward active KEK holders**, providing them with:

* Access to exclusive **NFT mints**.
* The ability to **purchase merch, loot boxes, and perks**.
* Enhanced governance power through **BaseDAO** (3x voting power).
* Access to **the KEK Bazaar (marketplace)** in future phases.
* Participation in **Based Lotteries** for prizes and rewards.
* 1:1 Based Token Redemption

## How Are Based Points Earned?

The **only way to earn BP** is by **staking KEK tokens** in the official KEK staking pool.

* The **longer you stake**, the more BP you accumulate.
* There is **no liquidity pool for BP**, meaning you can’t buy it directly on the market.
* BP can be **traded OTC (over-the-counter)** between community members, but there is no official exchange.

* The conversion process will be handled via a **dedicated claim page** in the KEK ecosystem.
