# 🏅 What Are Based Points (BP)?

**Based Points (BP)** are the **official utility points** of the KEK ecosystem, acting as a flexible, non-tradable rewards system that powers some of the most important features within KEK.

BP is designed to **reward active KEK holders**, providing them with:

* Access to exclusive **NFT mints**.
* The ability to **purchase merch, loot boxes, and perks**.
* Enhanced governance power through **BaseDAO** (3x voting power).
* Access to **the KEK Bazaar (marketplace)** in future phases.
* Participation in **Based Lotteries** for prizes and rewards.
* 1:1 Based Token Redemption

***

## How Are Based Points Earned?

The **only way to earn BP** is by **staking KEK tokens** in the official KEK staking pool.

* The **longer you stake**, the more BP you accumulate.
* There is **no liquidity pool for BP**, meaning you can’t buy it directly on the market.
* BP can be **traded OTC (over-the-counter)** between community members, but there is no official exchange.

***

## How Are Based Points Used?

BP is your **key to the KEK ecosystem**. You’ll use BP to:

* **Mint KEK Primal Architect NFTs**.
* **Redeem exclusive KEK merch**.
* **Open loot boxes with surprise rewards**.
* **Participate in Based Lotteries**.
* **Access the KEK Bazaar (future marketplace)**.
* **Boost your voting power in BaseDAO (3x multiplier)**.
* **Convert to Based tokens (in a future phase)**.
* **Convert to KEK tokens (in a future phase)**.

> Once BP is **spent**, it is **permanently burned**, making it a **deflationary points system**.

### Future BP Conversion to BASED

In a **later phase**, holders will be able to **convert Based Points (BP) into BASED tokens** at a **fixed 1:1 ratio**.

* **1 BP = 1 BASED Token**.
* This conversion will provide a **direct bridge** between early staking rewards (BP) and the **core BASED token**.
* The conversion process will be handled via a **dedicated claim page** in the KEK ecosystem.

This ensures BP holders have **a guaranteed pathway into BASED**, aligning the **early rewards system** with the **long-term value of the BASED token**.

> More details on timing and process will be determined through **BaseDAO governance** closer to the conversion event.

***

## Future BP Conversion to KEK

In a **later phase**, holders will be able to **convert BP into KEK tokens** at a conversion rate influenced by:

* Total BP supply.
* Total BP burned.
* BaseDAO community decisions.

This ensures BP always retains **real value** tied directly to KEK.

***

## Final Note

**Based Points reward those who commit to KEK long-term.** Whether you want to unlock rare NFTs, shape the future through governance, or claim exclusive rewards, BP is your **passport to the full KEK experience**.

> **Stake KEK. Earn BP. Spend BP. Burn BP. Influence the future.**
